In March this year, Prodex Systems had the great pleasure of
welcoming Bob Cooper back to Australia and New Zealand to
facilitate a series of public and in-house workshops as part of
the 2010 Prodex Innovation Masterclass Series.
An analysis of delegate feedback gathered during the series
indicated that Cooper’s workshop content and delivery, as well
as the overall quality of the events, exceeded expectations
across all three locations. In reviewing the feedback, it is
very clear that Cooper provided great insight into the best
practices and pathways for NPD, Stage-Gate and portfolio
management processes. There were numerous comments made by
attendees in acknowledgment of Bob’s personal experience and
“real-world” examples, his practical tools and methodologies,
and his energetic and passionate, hands-on approach to learning.
In addition to the public workshops, a select number of in-house
workshops were offered. National Foods was one of three
Australian companies to host a Cooper in-house and reported a
great deal of positive feedback, which has kindly been made
available to Prodex for the purpose of this series review.
Participants found the Portfolio Management session to be
excellent and were very passionate about the benefits of
implementing portfolio management at National Foods. In
addition, the Role of the Gatekeeper session was well received,
in particular the use of scorecards and the focus on priority
management. Cooper’s facilitation of the workshop exceeded
expectations for 85% of personnel
who participated in the event.
The Cooper workshop series not only set a very positive tone for the
remainder of the 2010 Prodex Innovation Masterclass series, but
represented the first in what is hoped to be a succession of
highly successful and anticipated Cooper workshops. We are
excited to announce that Bob will be returning to Australia and
New Zealand in March 2011 to facilitate a new series of public
and in-house workshops.
"Dr. Cooper's practical and highly researched and informed approach to

with clear guidelines and options, including tools and templates, to implement this NPD methodology
in our organisation with confidence and certainty."
